Châtillonnais. Four new artistic works to discover at the “Belle balade”

Inaugurated in 2021, the “Belle balade” of the National Forest Park continues to expand. “This open-air art trail, which has existed since 2021, offers an astonishing link between humans and the forest,” recalled Philippe Puydarrieux, director of the National Park, during the opening of the 4th edition of the Belle balade , on Thursday, July 31.
“The works can be discovered throughout your visit, all year round and free of charge,” the establishment said in a press release. “In any season, come and experience this stroll in the heart of the forest, where a giant spotted salamander stands majestically amidst the tall grass; where the Spirit of the Forest, more discreet, blends into the wooded colors; where a Wind house is turned upside down after having suffered the ravages of the weather… The stroll is beautiful in this green setting where the world of art blends with that of nature, a mixture that invites the walker on paths full of poetry.”
The project, in collaboration with the Simone Art Center, is co-funded by the Grand Est Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC), the Grand Est Region, and the Pays de Chaumont through the European LEADER program, which contributed €24,000. It is also supported by the National Forestry Office, the commune of Châteauvillain, and the Haute-Marne Departmental Council. Since its creation, the Belle balade has attracted 5,000 visitors.
"This artistic trail in the forest is expanding, bringing the number of works to 17, with the creation of new works by four guest artists for this new edition: Pascale Planche, Yoann Crépin, Xavier Rèche and Mickaël Chauvel and a surprise, concocted by Pedro Marzorati, which will blossom before our eyes in the public space", concludes the National Park .
